New Friend!

i have a new house mate. i get to play all the time now! her name is Kali and she is smaller than me so i have to be careful. she doesn't like to share her food, but my lady gets on to her. she came from a place called the 'pound' and i have a lot to teach her. she taught me a fun game called 'chase the cat'. i didn't know the cats liked to play! but they let Kali chase them so i just run faster and get there first! i like that game! anything that has me running is wonderful!

i got out again. the nice lady next door came over and i got to bark and dance around her. i tried to follow my man, but he left again. next time, i hope to play with Atlas next door. he seems nice, but the lady next door kept him from chasing me. hmmm....why don't people see how much fun chasing me is? they all seem so mad when i try to run from them. i don't know why.

Friends

I love going to the park. Belle usually meets me there and we have so much fun! she has so much extra skin, i love pulling at her neck! Panda goes too, but she doesn't ever play with me. i just ignore her now. i also get to meet new friends at the park. some scare me, but most i try to run away from. that's my favorite with new friends...running away!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!

today, is my first birthday. i've only been with my family about 10 months, yet they are learning quite fast, here are a few pictures of me with my new squeaky toys. i just love those...i don't know where the other ones went, but i'm sure glad the lady gave me some new ones. i especially love the new green bear. it squeaks just perfect! the cats tried to chase my squeaky balls, but i put that to a stop. i'm not sharing my new toys!

Dog Tired!

I got to see 4 pals yesterday! the old guy Jake was there. i like him, but he doesn't play much. Jayden and Hudson were there, but they don't play much either. But Mercedes was there! I got to run and play with her all afternoon. she's fun and can keep up with me. maybe i'll invite her to be my guest blogger and bring pictures. now that would be fun!

i love Judy Bloome. her books are wonderful to chew on. i was able to get the boy's copy when my people left me to get their free KFC. that'll show them that i need KFC too.

you might say i am a fanatic. i just can't wait to see what the people leave out for me. this is my latest devour...it was left when they were at Church. who would have thought a book could be so much fun! (the lady says it's a great read too for those who like the outdoors)

i got to shred it! it was so fun! i got to bite it and rip it and spread those little beads all over the living room...i think it was much better than the towel i shredded first. i must find another one...the little girl won't let me near her bean bag. hhhmmm, i must plot how to get it the next time they leave.

Soccer

i love soccer! the ball is much more fun to chase and tackle than squeaky ones. here i am with 2 of my little peeps and they think they can get the best of me! HA! i am the best. after all, i am the worlds best malamute! just ask my dad if you don't believe me.

Update-HELP!!

the moths have really been thick lately. i've been busy chasing them around. now that i can no longer escape to the front yard, i must find joy where i can. Oh, the kids have the pool out now so i can go swimming and splash and run. that is my favorite.

i have a new problem tho. the cat has been bugging me terribly. i had to warn her a couple of time because she's so kneady. the meowing is driving me crazy as i don't understand. it just sounds like, 'blah, blah, whine, whine, blah, blah' to me. i liked the massages at first, but now she just won't leave me alone! i can't take much more of this!

what do you suggest for attention starved cats? other than eating them...my girl would object, i'm sad to say.

Mothra!!!

well, it wasn't really Mothra, but it was close. and i caught it! it was huge! at least a 3 inch body. it was really fuzzy on my tongue too. i'd let it go just to catch it again. oh, that was fun! and because it was so big, it lived for awhile and was able to be let go quite a few times.

then, the cat got one! so i had to take it from her. then Mothra II got loose and the cat caught it again. i tell ya, those cats are sure handy to have around! i was able to let it go a couple of times before it finally got loose and i lost it. oh well. tonight is another night!

i'm off to hunt moths before bed.

Easter

last night was great. i had wonderful dreams of me chasing the Easter Bunny. he bounded around me and there was color, lots of color. guess i was twitching pretty good. the people woke me up laughing at me. i wish they'd let a sleeping dog sleep!

i am planning on napping most the day. there was lots of visiting yesterday at my grandma's and i didn't get my afternoon nap in.

aaahhh...the cat is close to me. SSSHHHH! don't tell anyone i actually like it! here is a picture of when they first came. they were little in this picture. now, there is more meat to them so i can enjoy their warmth better.

MIA

my family was MIA! i had no idea where they went! i searched and searched, but they were no where to be found...oh what to do???

it's ok now. they came back in the big wheeled thing. they had all this stuff too. smelled great! i was so happy they came, i couldn't help but chase my tail. and man i was able to chase it good!

aaahhhh....now i get to play with my kids again. i hope they don't do this often!

Chillin

here i am chillin with my home-girl. she is so much fun. i get to go outside and play with her often. she rides a bike and lets me bark at her. then she rides the skateboard and lets me bark at her. then i lay on my back and she rubs my belly. i love it!

my foot is better so i think i'll go run a little. lots to make up for since i napped all day yesterday.

Ouch I'm tired

yesterday included a trip to the foothills. one of my favorite places to run because i can actually get the birds, rabbits, squirrels, butterflies or go where my nose takes me. well, i really don't catch anything, but i will one day. they are sure fun to chase.

yesterday, i hurt my paw. the pad was cut and i can't walk. the people are nice and look at it, and they really don't hurt me. i wish they'd fix the hurt tho.

i think i'll just lay on the couch all day today. i hope they don't leave, but if they do i'll find something close to examine and shred. (that's my job when they are gone...to examine and shred stuff!)

MONSTERS!!!!

today, the people were in danger...i barked until they put me outside. i don't understand why i couldn't just scare it away. for some reason, every week this big yellow thing comes out with someone behind it. i try to warn them, but for some reason, they just laugh. maybe an odd game that i don't know yet? hmmm...i'll just have to go with that.

ok, playing works much better. i get to dance and bark and jump all around the 'thing'. and to make it better, every time i jump and bark the people move it so i bark more. then, it gets loud so i get to bark more.

but that's not the end of it! there is this fuzzy thing that the boy keeps waving at me. i get to chase it, then it chases me. oh fun! i get to bark and jump some more.

oh, but there's more! more laps this time. the boy has something he puts around him. then he goes toward me...so i get to run! on the bed. off the bed. down the hall. on the couch. off the couch. on the bed off the bed. oh fun! i like this game! just glad the yellow thing is gone--at least for this week.

WOW! Laps this morning were great. Back and forth. back and forth. on the bed. off the bed. out the door. back and forth. in the door. scare a cat. back on bed. circles on the bed. scare other cat. dash out the door ....oh fun!

now i must nap. more laps later...

On running

Running is the best! at the park, with the big guy, chasing kids...whatever! Running is the best!

i don't understand why i can't run with some other canines at the park. their people seem to stop them and get between us, but i just dance around and bark until they let the dog go. it's quite fun. although, i don't understand 'quit' or 'enough' as my people don't use those words with me. i know: sit, down, lay, shake...those mean i get a T-R-E-A-T or a chewy. sometimes, i hear 'come' but most of the time, i don't hear anything! anyways, i just make my own games with other dogs and if their people join in, then fabulous! if not, i'll just keep on playing and someone will join in or just run across the field. either way, i'm happy!

today, i got to run free and without a fence. the big guy took his contraption so he was able to go way faster than me. but that's ok...i got to run, and run fast. i almost felt the wind on my skin. i did feel it on my tongue and even let it hang to the side to get the full effect.

you should try it some time...there's nothing like a dangling tongue to cool you off.

Bugs and stuff

yesterday i had the opportunity to meet a new creature. it wasn't as loud as the fly last night, which i had fun chasing in the bedroom. i don't think the big guy and lady appreciated my graceful attack jumps from their bed. anyways, flies are a challenge. Moths, on the other hand, are a little more fun to hunt. they stay at the window so i can watch from inside or out...then as soon as they are low enough, i go in for the kill. i really don't mean to kill them. they flitter about so spastically i love to stalk and attack. and when i catch one, the fuzz tickles my tongue.

But yesterday, the creature i was after had loud wings and a huge body. It was crawling on the ground so i barked a little to scare it into flying. Kind of funny that it didn't leave, so i snapped at it. still, it stayed on the ground. i tried to use a paw to get it going, but no. the critter decided to take the long way and walk around my yard.

the lady ruined my fun tho. said something about 'hurt' and 'sting you' but i don't care. she threw a ball and i got to run. and that's the best thing in the world. well, second best after the big guy's food.

The Escape

i must say, it wasn't much of an escape. i did try tho. the front yard has so many smells i just can't resist. the kids were leaving so i thought i'd tag along. it didn't work tho. the lady came and got me. as soon as she let go, i got a few laps in-i was so excited to be free!!! but that too didn't last long. i love the feel of the wind (and smells!) in my fur. it's so thick, i have to run really fast to feel it. sometimes i even get the little people to run outback with me. of course they can't keep up. that's tons of fun to watch them try. when the young boy goes with his riffle out back...i get to tag along and be his scout. i'm not sure exactly what he is scouting, but i get to use my nose to find new things. that's another favorite of mine.

oh, so much to see and do...yes, life is good in the Moss house.

Cats!

i must share a little secret with you. i love when the white cat gives me a massage. it feels so good after a long day of decorating the house.

Perhaps they are not so bad. If only they would play tug-o-war with me. i am not so good at their hide and seek game...i can never find them!

My first post

here i am. finally on the web where i can get more attention. today was a normal day. my family left to visit friends so i willingly stayed home to keep the house in order. first of all, there was that bread that needed to be taken care of. then, i ended up examining the boy's slipper up close. after i was board with that, i found some plastic bags and bottles to shred. it made for a nice addition to the living room....my family will be so proud!

then, for some reason, they were not happy when they got back. well, all is not lost. i have my spot on the couch to nap off this terrible indigestion. I ate well rounded, so i have no idea why i feel this way.
